LPISD CAFETERIA RECEIVES PERFECT SCORE!

A+ RATING

We want to take this time to give a big CONGRATULATIONS to our cafeteria staff for receiving a perfect score on their review from the Texas Department of Agriculture.  The following statement is from our nutritional consultant.

"Congratulations on a perfect review!!!  There's only about 1-2% of the schools in the entire state of Texas that are able to pull that of!"

I can't begin to tell you how proud I am of Maria and the ladies and all of their hard work they do for the students and staff at La Pryor Independent School District!"

The University of Texas at San Antonio representative, Anna Gutierrez, traveled from San Antonio on October 29th to visit with our 11th and 12th grade students. She presented to our students about the general college admission process.  Thanks to UTSA for sending their area recruiter to meet with our students!  Go Runners!

Texas A&M College Station representative, Sandra Bernal visits with Senior and Junior students to discuss college readiness and the college admissions process.  Go Aggies!
 
 La Pryor High School will be hosting other college visitations on the following dates.  Students mark your calendars!
 
October 23rd-Mark Perez will be presenting to our seniors on the Tulsa Welding School and certification programs.
 
October 25th-Our senior students will be attending the TACRAO College and Career Fair at SWTJC-Uvalde Campus.  Thank you SWTJC! Go Cowboys!
 

October 29th-Anna Gutierrez, a representative from the University of Texas at San Antonio, will be visiting with our junior and senior students.  Go Runners! 

ELEMENTARY STUDENT COUNCIL VISITED LA PRYOR NUTRITION CENTER

The newly formed LPISD elementary student council visited the La Pryor Nutrition Center today.  The students handed out blankets and small painted pumpkins to everyone.  Afterwards the students and LPISD staff helped serve everyone lunch.  "It was awesome to see our young students give back to the community" said Mr. McHazlett.  LPISD staff accompanying the students were Mrs. Mann, sponsor, Mrs. Sanchez, sponsor, Mr. De La Fuente, principal and Mr. McHazlett, superintendent.

ELEMENTARY RECEIVES "B" RATING elem staff

La Pryor Elementary had an amazing 2017-2018 School Year.  They received a B rating based on student performance on the state's STAAR test.  Letter grades will officially be given to all campuses starting in August of 2019. The Elementary also received 4 distinctions out of 6. 3rd and 5th grade Reading and Math had over a 90 percent success rate.  4th and 6th grade Math had over an 80 percent success rate.  4th and 6th grade Reading had over a 70 percent success rate.  This rates are based on all 2017 STAAR state test data.  All teachers returned for the 2018-2019 school year.  La Pryor Elementary would like to thank all teachers and staff for returning and rising to the challenge in the upcoming 2018-2019 school year.  Thank you to parents, guardians, and community members for making La Pryor Elementary successful.
