ESEQUIEL DE LA FUENTE
ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL

My name is Esequiel De La Fuente, Jr and I want to welcome you to the La Pryor Elementary School, Home of the Bulldogs.  It is a pleasure and an honor to serve the La Pryor community for a second year as your principal for the 2018-2019 school year.  I will be starting my 18th year in education as a teacher, administrator, and as your elementary principal.  I earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences from Texas State University, a Masters in Administration, and have recently completed my Superintendent Program through Sul Ross State University.  I am super excited to be able to serve this community and be part of the La Pryor School District.

We anticipate a positive, successful and rewarding year for every student and would like to welcome all new and returning students.  The La Pryor Elementary staff is dedicated and committed in providing every student with the best educational experience possible within a safe and supportive environment.  We believe that through our own individual actions we affect one another and the quality of our learning environment.  Providing a safe, supportive and respectful environment ensures students’ equal access to every resource and enables students to achieve their fullest potential.  Learning is enhanced by the establishment of high academic and behavioral expectations.  Special emphasis will be placed on the teaching of self-discipline/self-management, developing good citizenship and social skills. We will incorporate the Golden Rule, “treat others as you would like to be treated”, in every interaction with students, parents and staff.  We will respect, excel and inspire.  Positive communication is a priority with all our parents and guardians.

If at any time you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me or our elementary staff.  We look forward to developing great partnerships with our parents, guardians and community. Together there is no limit to what we can accomplish.  We are proud to serve you and our community.

Sincerely,

Esequiel De La Fuente, Jr.
