Plan
2005-2006
Long Range Goal #1: That every student of La Pryor Independent School District will be provided engaged challenging, interesting, and satisfying work that results in students learning at high levels and having a profound grasp of what they learn. (Goal 1 – NCLB)
Objective #1: By Spring 2006, at least 80% of all
students including subgroups will master the
TEKS/TAKS (in the four core areas)
Strategy A -The TEKS, as a foundation, will be taught, monitored,
and assessed
Strategy B -Students will be provided support services appropriate
to their needs
Objective # 2: By Spring 2006, technology will be
integrated throughout La Pryor Independent School District
to improve learning, teaching, and information management.
Strategy A -Ensure that students, teachers, school and community
members will have access to, sufficient
understanding of technology-based tools, enabling them to gather,
manage, analyze, evaluate,
produce, and present information
Objective # 3: By Spring 2006, LPISD will provide
an active partnership among students, parents, school and
community members
Strategy A- Utilize community strengths and resources to enhance
learning
Long Range Goal #2: La Pryor Independent School District will provided a safe, healthy, and positive learning which meets the diverse needs of all students. (Goal 4 NCLB)
Objective # 1: By Spring 2006, all campuses will
establish and implement a plan that addresses the
well-being of all students.
Strategy A- Provide a safe learning and working environment
Long Term Goal # 3 – La Pryor Independent School District will provide high quality, well trained staff members ( Goal 3 NCLB)
Objective #1- By 2006, 100% of all teachers
employed with La Pryor Independent School District will be
certified by Texas State Board of Education.
Strategy A- Practice effective recruitment of high quality staff
members
Objective #2- By July of 2006, teachers will have
completed training in district initiatives.
Strategy A– Provide new employees training to support district
initiatives
