Intervention Programs

La Pryor Elementary School offers research based instructional prevention programs for students who are struggling with the learning objectives in reading. The goal is to reduce children’s reading difficulties before they fall behind. We recognize children who are struggling with basic skills in reading as soon as possible and then accelerate their learning to get back on level. Each program is designed to target the skills that the child is struggling with. We use the state tests, diagnostic assessments and classroom performance to identify these children. Parents of these children are then contacted so that the children can begin the program.
