Summer School Programs and Services
PK-K: June 9 – July 11
8:00 – 1:00
LEP – Limited English Proficient students will receive special instruction designed to prepare them to be successful in kindergarten and first grade. Instruction shall focus on language development and essential knowledge and skills appropriate to the level of the student. (Requirements: 120 hours of instruction)
3rd, 5th, 8th: June 9 – July 2
8:00 – 1:00
SSI READING – Accelerated instruction will be provided to students who have not passed the second administration of the TAKS reading rest. (Requirements: class size will comply with the TAC§101.2013(a), and not exceed a ration of more than 10 students to each teacher.)
5th & 8th: June 9 – July 1
8:00 – 12:00
SSI Math – Accelerated instruction will be provided to students who have not passed the second administration of the TAKS math test. (Requirements: class size will comply with the TAC§101.2013(a), and not exceed a ration of more than 10 students to each teacher.)
5th – 12th: June 9 – July 11

SPECIAL EDUCATION – We are offering a summer enrichment program for students who have previously been in a self-contained placement on either campus. Students will be provided enrichment activities linked to their IEP objectives for both academic and functional living.

READING & MATH TUTORING – Accelerated instruction will be provided to students who have not passed their TAKS test in math and/or reading.

SCIENCE TUTORING – Accelerated instruction will be provided to students who have not passed their TAKS test in science.
9th – 12th: June 9 – July 11

ELA TUTORING – Accelerated instruction will be provide to students who have not passed their TAKS test in reading/ELA.
11th - 12th: June 9 - July 11

MATH & SCIENCE TUTORING - Accelerated instruction will be provide to students who have not passed their TAKS test in math and/or science..
