Click on your class on the tabs located on the left.
You will find all the assignments that I have assigned since we started remote learning. If you have any questions, please contact me through Remind or email.
ONLINE ASSIGNMENTS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:
I highly recommend that you work on the math assignments on Study Island and answer the daily question on Google Classroom. You will have a better chance of getting a higher grade because you may attempt the lesson and answers several times until you are satisfied with your grade!
Thank you for sending me your photos! Each of these students will receive a little gift from me.
HELLO STUDENTS AND PARENTS,
IF YOU HAVE A PAPER PACKET, PLEASE SEND PICTURES OF YOUR COMPLETED ASSIGNMENTS THROUGH REMIND OR EMAIL. IF YOU SENT YOUR PICTURES ALREADY, THANK YOU!
You do not need to complete a paper packet and the online Study Island assignment. They are the same. So it is one or the other. You choose!
ASSIGNMENTS ARE DUE BY MONDAY MORNING!
PLEASE FIND YOUR CLASS ON THE TABS LOCATED ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THIS SCREEN. YOU WILL FIND MORE INFORMATION ON YOUR CLASS ASSIGNMENTS. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA EMAIL OR REMIND. TAKE CARE!
I am available through Remind and email if you have any questions on the work you are doing at home. Please send me a picture of what you need help with.

Gifted/Talented Robotics Teams
GT students have started working with the LEGO Mindstorms Education EV3 Robots. Students will be exploring, engaging and practicing STEM and robotics skills. This will be preparing them for college and careers in a world driven by technology. They will continue to meet weekly with their teams to construct and program their Mindstorms Education EV3 Robots for a Gifted/Talented Showcase that will take place in April 2020. GT sponsors are Elizabeth C. Rodriguez and Jaime Isquierdo.
Catapult Challenge-Algebra 2 Class
All Algebra 2 students worked on building a catapult, wrote about the history and mathematics behind the catapult, and found a quadratic equation that modeled the path of the projectile they launched. Each group did an amazing job! These are the groups that had the furthest distance of their launch (per class period). Each student won a gift card for their excellence!

Hello, my name is Elizabeth Cavazos-Rodriguez. I am from Crystal City, TX. I graduated from Sul-Ross State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. I have been a secondary mathematics teacher for 19 years. I began my teaching career in 1999 as an Adult Basic Education instructor with Southwest Texas Junior College. I have taught mathematics in the junior high and high school level since August 2000. I have taught 8th grade math, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Math Models, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus. I enjoy spending time with my loving family: Scott, Alexandria, Samantha and Scott Jr.
I am so excited to be teaching at La Pryor High School for a second year. I am currently teaching Algebra 1, Algebra 2, College Readiness (Mathematics), and I monitor Dual Credit classes. I am a junior class sponsor and the lead teacher for the mathematics department.
My goal for all my students is for them to become life-long problem solvers and to enjoy learning mathematics. I believe that "Knowledge is Power". Education is something that can never be taken away from us after we acquire it.
