Hello! My name is Regina Coleman but my students call me Miss or when they want they call me, Ms. Coleman.  I have been employed with LPISD for the past five years.  My primary responsibility is 7th grade math.  I also support the 8th grade math teacher by teaching math lab.  During this time in LP I have been a classroom teacher but I have also been a coach, class sponsor, and UIL Coordinator.

About me: I was born in Crystal City, lived in the city till I was eleven, then moved to my homestead on the Nueces river.  I started my 4th grade year in La Pryor, so La Pryor  ISD is no stranger to me, it is my home.  After graduation in 1985, I moved to San Antonio for many years. It wasn't till 1998 that I moved home and became serious about my post high school education.  I enrolled at Southwest Texas Junior College in Uvalde almost immediately and began to develop an appreciation for higher education.  While I was there I provided transportation to students from Crystal City by driving the STWJC big white bus and worked in the Business Office as a student aide.  I graduated with honors in May of 2002.   I immediately enrolled at Texas A & M International University in Laredo where I graduated with honors in May of 2005 with a Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Management.

My life today:  I'm a proud Mom of four amazing adult children, Justin, Kallie, Teylor and Shelby, and a very proud Ma'am of four fantastic grandchildren, Waylon, Cash, Kloie, and River.  I probably spend most of my time looking after the health and well being of my 87 year old Dad.  At home my hobbies are the yard, watching the birds, and a newly acquired chore of looking after a herd of 40+ goats.  Life is pretty calm and simple but it works for me.  I love teaching and I love to share stories with my students of my travels and funny things that happen throughout the year.
