Welcome to La Pryor ISD. Located in South Texas, at the intersection of highway 83 and highway 57, La Pryor ISD is spread out over 300 square miles and serves around 500 students on 2 campuses. La Pryor ISD has a rich history of excellence in academics, athletics and vocational programs and is committed to putting students first.
What a great year we had last year and what a wonderful start to the 2019-2020 school year. Some of the accomplishments that the district is proud of include: increasing the salaries of all para-professionals, which they so deserved after going years without a pay raise; adopting a very competitive salary schedule for all professional employees that is equal to or better than all of the surrounding districts; having the Elementary Campus not only achieving the "Met Standard" accountibility score after going three years of Improvement Required, but earning 4 Distinguished Distinctions; increasing the number of dual credit oppurtunities; giving students the oppurtunity to attend classes on the South Texas Junior College campus; adding Pharmocology as an option in our Health Science strand and giving the Elementary Campus a face lift.
